Merry Christmas!

Hark the herald angels sing
"Glory to the newborn King!
Peace on earth and mercy mild
God and sinners reconciled"
Joyful, all ye nations rise
Join the triumph of the skies
With the angelic host proclaim:
"Christ is born in Bethlehem"
Wishing all of you a Merry Christmas filled with blessings and cheer! And Happy Birthday to Baby Jesus!!

Christmas Cookies!

I just love baking Christmas cookies! This past weekend mother and I along with some other neighborhood friends got together and made about seven different kinds. Here are some of the finished product, I think I am going to add some ribbon to the jars for a more festive look:The other day on Food Network Giada was making these delicious looking Peppermint-Chocolate Sandwich cookies you can find the recipe here. I think I will make them next! Don't they look yummy?
Another good thing about holiday cookies is that you can put them in a pretty box or tin to give away. Something like this tin from The Container Store would be lovely...

Holiday Dresses!

I just love Christmastime parties! Here are my picks for your next holiday soiree.... The Swanky Dress from Trina Turk. This dress is so pretty! The rows are made up of little sequins, so you get a bit of sparkle while still being totally classy. This red Satin -trim sheath dress from Banana Republic will help you look extra festive! I am a big fan of plaid! I think this Calla Taffeta Tartan dress from Ralph Lauren would look extra nice with a wrap or pashmina. The beading adds a good touch of pizzazz to an otherwise simple black dress. This is the Longest Night Dress from Anthropologie. This Sue Wong Beaded Strapless dress is definitely a show stopper!
And lastly, the Lilly Pulitzer Annie Dress Metallic. I just had to include a dress from my favorite, Lilly!

Love It/Hate It?

I'd have to go with hate it on this one, I would never ever have this in my home as I am a lover of all things traditional. The only possible maybe would be in a child's bathroom, they might get a kick out of it. If you would ever be interested in purchasing one of these lol they can be found here.

Now here are home accessories that are a little, (okay a lot), more my scene. Lovely pillows from Jonathan Adler that are in needlepoint!

Gift Idea of the Day #1

It's so exciting, only 25 days until Christmas! In spirit of the season of giving, everyday this week I will feature a cute gift, in case you are still in need of ideas for someone on your list. First up is, a perfect gift for a college student...

Vineyard Vines Duke Blue Devil Classic Tote ($95)
a Vineyard Vines tote! Today campuses are just crawling with them and if the person you are buying for does not go to one of the schools in the College Collection, they would be sure to love any of the other totes such as...
this 'Elephant Classic tote'. These totes are so sturdy and cute, perfect for lugging around books and such!
